Well it really doesn't feel like its new years eve already! Time is just flying! I feel like just yesterday I was coming home from the hospital and it was halloween! So much has happened since then! New job, new baby, Christmas, and now its New Years already! Plus my birthday on saturday! Which we are looking forward to! Mom and dad are watching Graceyn all night and we are going to Texas Roadhouse and a movie! and then the best part, uninterrupted sleep :)
I shouldn't complain, she is sleeping great for us, from about 8-7 only getting up once to eat. and shes getting close to sleeping 8 hours now, so pretty soon she wont be getting up in the middle of the night!
Graceyn has her 2 month check up next friday (a couple weeks late) and will get her shots. I'm not looking forward to that part, but I am looking forward to seeing how big she is now! she seems huge compared to when she was born! I'm guessing she is about 10 pounds and 22 inches long! close to twice her birth weight! and 4 inches longer than when she was born! she is officially too big for her newborn clothes and is moving into the 3 month sizes!
She is getting to be more fun too, because she has play time and will giggle and smile and talk like crazy! of course this time is in the morning when I'm at work and she's with daddy.. and when i'm home with her after work is her 'fussy' time. lucky me! I think I'm getting the short end of the stick on that one!
We are looking forward to this weekend also! my birthday, a 3 day weekend, and on Sunday Gracyen's baptism! We were able to get the house totally clean last night so we will be able to enjoy our weekend!

It's almost here!
We are anxiously waiting for Christmas to get here! Looking forward to a few days off that we spend time with family and introduce Graceyn to some family she has not yet met.
Big news- Graceyn rolled over last night! We were having 'tummy time' and playing on the floor and she rolled from her tummy to her back. I was shocked! I got the video camera and tried to get her to do it again (since daddy was at work) and of course she was stubborn like me and wouldn't do it for anything!
I am sure she will do it for daddy today while he has her all day! Maybe he can get it on film!
Today is going to be a long day I think, I got up at 6 as usual and caught a ride to work with my mom. Thomas is coming up at 4 to get me and we are going to have a long night of Christmas shopping, grocery shopping, and then meeting some of his friends downtown for supper and a drink. I am going to be dead tired and missing my baby girl by the time we get home! (the grandparents are splitting babysitting time tonight)
Then if we dont finish our shopping today, tomorrow we are going to ride up with my mom and get it done. Good thing today was my first payday! It's been 2 months since I've been paid and it really sucks! Now we can get all of our bills paid and presents bought and maybe even have some left over! Plus I am REALLY looking forward to getting a tax return in January so we can pay the nice hospital bill that came last week! Man are c sections expensive! thank god for insurance is all i can say! I'll just say this-without insurance it was $17,000! Nice thing is now when we decide to have another we can prepay the hospital since I know I am going to have another c section, and get a discount for prepaying.
Well time to get back to work, it's very slow today and a lot of people are off for hoildays already! our servers are being turned off at 3 for some work, so i will really be bored with no computer and no phone! I am hoping I can just take off at 3, but I doubt it! someone has to stay here!

Almost Christmas!
Well less than 2 weeks til christmas! This past week went very fast due to snow days! After being home most of tuesday and all day wednesday it was friday before we knew it! Friday I had a christmas party for work and when I got home at 5 I found out Graceyn hadn't napped all day! Boy was she cranky! So I got her fed and to sleep at about 6 and she slept until 2am! (8 hours straight!) first time for that! Then she was up for a couple hours and went back to sleep til 6.Then we got up and had a great breakfast of french toast and bacon! After that we got ready and went to kohls to do some christmas shopping and boy they had good sales! We then went to Thomas's grandmas and did our annual cookies and candy making. didn't get done there til about 8 then supper at applebees and finally home!
Sunday Graceyn was up early so we both went to church and then we went shopping with mom, grandma, aunt leann and miranda! Had a good time but i was so tired! Mom and dad watched her for a couple hours after that and i got all my laundry, dishes and cleaning done and even had time to wrap presents! so a productive day!
hope this week goes quickly! I am ready for christmas and a 4 day weekend!

snow time!
Well week 1 at the new job is down. It is going great, I think I have got it pretty much figured out and I love it! My boss is great, she's so laid back, and totally opposite of the last one i had! Thank goodness! I am also loving that I am off at 4:30 everyday and can spend some time at night with Graceyn when she is wide awake! I am still adjusting to getting up at 6:30 tho! Now if Thomas could just get on a 'regular' shift we'd be in great shape!
Yesterday we put our tree up and all of our Christmas decorations, so the house is looking festive now! Graceyn slept thru it all, but that is ok. We went to see santa last night, but when we saw how much it cost for a picture, we decided to wait, that is insane! So we walked the mall once, browsed around, then went and got groceries. Which was much needed! I don't think we've gotten groceries since the day before she was born! We have just grabbed things here and there as needed! So it's nice to have a kitchen full of food now, especially with the snow that is comming! I just saw the weather, which said tonight we are getting 2-4 inches...and then tomorrow night and tuesday between 6-10! and to make it worse, 35mph winds... yuck! The nice thing is that my job is flexible with bad weather. They may close the whole agency, or not, but I am able to call in if I don't feel comfortable going in. And taht is great since Graceyn is going to day care 7 miles out of our way, which doesn't seem like a lot, but in a snow storm it sure is!
Well since she is napping now, I am going to try to get some housework done! It's amazing how long you can ignore laundry when you have a new baby in the house!

Big week at the Winegardners!
Well first off, I want to say that Thanksgiving was great! Hectic, exhausting, but great. We went to Thomas's grandma's for lunch, then went to my dad's cousin's for supper. I don't think I saw Graceyn hardly at all that day.. she was certainly the center of attention!She slept great that night too! She slept 8 hours, only getting up once to eat!
Friday I went shopping with my mom and sister, but not early! We didn't leave til 9am. Then we went to Bob Roes for wings with friends who were in town.
Saturday was another packed day! We went to Omaha with Thomas's mom and dad to visit his aunt so she could meet Graceyn. Then we ate at Old Chicago (my first time there! It was very good!) and went to babies r us! It's a good thing we don't have one here, because we would be there too much! Saturday night thomas's mom and dad babysat a couple hours and we went to the casino with Thomas's friends from Iowa City.
Sunday I went to church and then got some cleaning done, that felt great to get done because monday I started my new job!
I am the 211 coordinator and comunity service director at the center for siouxland. I love it! I am so excited to have a job in my field with 'normal' hours! It's monday-friday, 8-430! It is amazing! Now if only thomas's hours would go to 8-5 we'd be set!
Today was Graceyn's first day at day care! She did good, and so did mom and dad :)
